If a comedy show and a hackathon had a baby,  it would be Comedy Hack Day.

Comedy Hack Day (CHD) started in 2012 with the goal of bringing technology-embracing comedians and comedy-loving developers together into one collaborative, fun environment. Created by Cultivated Wit, a company started by a few folks from The Onion, CHD has grown from its first day-long event in NY to several weekend-long events in LA, San Francisco and at MIT.

CHD DC is the open source version of Comedy Hack Day. We gather comedians, designers, and developers to build hilarious tech products—apps, sites, search engines, etc. At the end of it all, the finalists will demo their ideas in a full- fledged comedy show complete with audience members and guest judges. It’s loads of fun and we want you to be part of it.

More shows are popping up all over - check out the main site here!
